A confident and outgoing leader with proven abilities in operational leadership and mentoring, I am at home in high pressure environments both inside and outside of the technology sector, including working with strict regulatory requirements. I have worked as individual contributor, leader, and lead of leads over the last 15 years and am privileged to have built and worked with some amazingly diverse and high-performing teams. In this time, I have honed my leadership style to one made up of expectant and empathetic relationships. One of my main goals in leadership is to make sure that people are realising their full potential; anything that I or the company I work for can do to support an individual’s development is paramount.

I am passionate about keeping up with the latest trends in technology, and I manage this through a lot of reading, podcasts, and regular activity on several Slack workspaces. As well as this, I am an organiser of the Sheffield Devops monthly meetup, and regularly speak at other meetups around the country (and more recently online). I have natural skills in empathy and leadership which I have been lucky enough to develop over my career, and this has given me the confidence to pursue a role with a lot more focus on leadership. I am a great ambassador for companies I work for, and enjoy sharing the technologies used, lessons learnt, and other goings on where appropriate and permitted.
